Evaluation of distance English language teaching education during COVID-19 pandemic from the perspectives of ELT student teachers and their instructors

Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic in world, all institutions of society have been severely affected. Some consequences this crisis had both positive and negative effects on certain areas. Among these, education is one that will greatest impact future. This paper attempted determine perspectives English language teaching student teachers their instructors distance during pandemic. The participants study were 40 senior students from Language Teaching department 4 a Turkish state university. Both qualitative quantitative research models used study. Descriptive analysis was for data whereas statistical procedure applied data. A questionnaire semi-structured interview forms employed as collection instruments. results revealed opinions about One most frequently stated problems with refers teachers’ experiences practicum, they no difficulty theoretical courses. are regarding time-space flexibility, reviewing lessons by recordings, self-paced learning, affordability, comfort, sharing wide range resources, instant feedback, technical problems, courses, lack social interaction, assessment evaluation, workload, health low motivation. It suggested training be useful future experiences.
